Community Engagement Summits offer opportunities for
collaboration by sharing community development strategies
The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs is hosting five conferences across the state in August and September. The OCRA Community Engagement Summits are open to community members and leaders, and will share community development strategies, local success stories and create opportunities for collaboration between communities.
The Community Engagement Summits will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with doors opening at 9:30 a.m. ET, at the following locations:
- Madison – Sept. 3
- Huntingburg – Sept. 9
- Wabash – Sept. 15
- Noblesville – Sept. 23
“Our team is excited to host five Community Engagement Summits throughout the state,” OCRA Executive Director Fred Glynn said. “This will provide communities with a great opportunity to network and learn from each other on community development strategies and best practices.”
Glynn said session topics will include placemaking, success stories from local communities and OCRA programming, while ending each summit with a networking opportunity. Additional segments will include a panel of local officials and leaders discussing what collaborative approaches were used to accomplish their goals, and a unique keynote speaker for each location, which will be announced ahead of each summit.
