the Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market Challenge is returning this summer for its fourth year. This contest is a chance for community members across the state to vote for their favorite hometown farmers market to encourage local engagement and statewide recognition.
“The Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market Challenge gives Hoosiers a fun and meaningful way to support their favorite local markets,” said Caroline Patrick, Indiana Grown Program director. “Every vote shines a spotlight on the farmers and producers who bring fresh, Indiana-grown products to our communities. Farmers markets help drive local connection, and local commerce, and it’s inspiring to see such passionate support from Hoosiers across the state.”
Voting will begin July 17 and will run through Aug. 5. Farmers market fans are allowed one vote per person, per day. The winning farmers market will be announced Aug. 8.
Farmers market nominations and those you can vote for include
