The Indiana State Police Wellness Section is asking for the public’s support of the Indiana State Police Therapy K9 Program, an initiative dedicated to providing comfort, hope, and emotional support to Indiana State Police personnel.
Therapy K9s provide support to sworn officers, professional staff, retirees, and employee families following critical incidents, traumatic events, and other stressful situations. These specially trained canines also help strengthen connections within the department by encouraging conversations, reducing stress, and promoting resilience.
Support is applied to the purchase, training, care, veterinary expenses, equipment, and deployment of Therapy K9s that will continue serving Indiana State Police personnel for years to come.
It also helps ensure Therapy K9s are available to provide comfort and support to the men and women of the Indiana State Police who dedicate their lives to serving the citizens of Indiana.
