Submitted by Senator Randy Maxwell

Residents impacted by the recent flooding in Dearborn County are eligible to apply for individual assistance through FEMA.

By applying for individual assistance, Hoosiers could receive funding to help cover medical expenses, childcare, vehicle and house repairs, temporary housing expenses, and other important recovery necessities.

I strongly encourage anyone who was affected by the floods to apply as soon as possible. The deadline for applying is Oct. 25.

To apply, Hoosiers can call 1-800-621-3362, visit www.disasterassistance.gov, or use the FEMA mobile app.
