Voices of Liberty

Join us for a celebration of words surrounding the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, hosted by Ivy Tech Professor Emeritus Ron Nicholson. He will read from the Declaration itself, read “America the Beautiful”, which was originally a poem, “Lexington” by Oliver Wendell Holmes, from President Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Paul Dunbar, Langston Hughes, Walt Whitman, Emma Lazarus’ “The New Colossus,” and more.
