STEMtember Workshop

Dig into the science behind archaeology at STEM-tember! This hands-on educational workshop gives younger learners the chance to experience the different stages of archaeological research—from exploring how archaeologists use subsurface scanning technology to uncover what lies beneath the ground, to excavating a simulated archaeological site and using scientific evidence to interpret their findings. 

Through hands-on activities and investigation, participants will discover how archaeologists use science, technology, and critical thinking to learn about the past. By the end of the workshop, visitors will have a better understanding of the tools, methods, and scientific processes that go into archaeological research.
