A survey has been developed related to floodplain and flooding in Dearborn County. This survey in a number of different ways to help accommodate people’s needs for completing the surveys. The survey can be filled out and emailed back to to the Planning Department when completed. Printed copies of the survey available at the Solar, BESS, Data Center workshop that is scheduled for Thursday June 18, 2026, at 6pm.

As flooding events continue to affect homes, businesses, farmland, infrastructure, and natural resources, understanding community perspectives is essential. This survey seeks to understand how residents perceive flood risk, floodplains, levees, drainage systems, and natural flood-protection features across Dearborn County. The information collected will help identify local concerns, improve public awareness, and support future planning, conservation, and flood-risk management efforts throughout the county. This survey will take no more than 10 minutes to complete. Your response is crucial for the future of Dearborn County.
